This past July 19, 2019, the Centre for Climate Finance and Investment at Imperial College Business School in London hosted an event to discuss International Perspectives on Sustainable Finance. The event brought together academics and business leaders to talk about what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to happen now to drive sustainable finance into the mainstream.
The event was a major milestone and the first of its kind to use holographic telepresence to help bring together people from across the world to have a conversation on sustainability while avoiding the environmental costs that come with transatlantic air travel.
Tima Bansal, Professor of Sustainability at the Ivey Business School in Canada and Russell Pullman, CEO of Havelaar and Chairman of CoPower Inc., both of whom were located in Toronto, appeared as live holograms at the event at Imperial College in London using ARHT’s Holographic Telepresence technology.
This past November 2018, Imperial College became the first university in the world to deliver a live lecture using holographic telepresence at their event titled Women in Tech: The Inside Story using technology that they purchased from ARHT Media. ARHT also won the award for the Best Use of Technology at the 2019 Events Production Awards for that event.
